Education Workshops and guided visits

Recommendations for Teachers and Students
  • Group activities must be previously arranged or communicated on the telephone numbers indicated. The guided visit can be done in Spanish or Valencian.
  • If an appointment for a visit has been made, it is necessary to respect the time set for the visit; the lack of punctuality may affect other groups. Any changes, problems or cancellations must be reported so that they can be resolved in good time.
  • All the services of the museum are free.
  • Groups must always be accompanied by a teacher or responsible person, making sure the group stays together, regardless of the presence of a museum monitor.
  • Photos may be taken, but without flash, except in those exhibitions where it is expressly prohibited.
  • The centre has a library service, a cloakroom, a shop and interior courtyards for lunch or snacks.

The Museu Valencià d'Etnologia focuses its educational offer on a series of activities that promote the visit of audiences of very different ages, from primary school pupils to high school students, vocational education students and adults.
The educational proposals of the museum are the following:
  • Primary education: El joc de l’Horta  [Huerta Game].
  • From 3rd to 6th grade of primary school [age 8‒11; Key Stage 2 in the UK] and 1st cycle of secondary education [age 12‒13]: El colom, la nória i la volantinera [The Dove, the Big Wheel and the Trapezist].
  • All ages: Guided Visits
The guided visits, adapted to all levels, offer the visitor the opportunity to approach, in a didactic and comprehensible way, any of the three sections that make up the permanent exhibition of the museum: The Town Experienced, Huerta & Marshlands, and Drylands and Mountains.
Guided tours of the temporary exhibitions are also provided.
